Since I became young,got educated,started working and last but not least came out of the country, Like most of us Indians , I felt pride in what we Indians ( or India ) have achieved ( or achieving ) and also involved in many discussions where we(Indians,NRIs,PIOs,OCIs) discuss the challenges being faced by India ( i.e Indian society,Indian politics, Indian entrepreneurs...). I always want(ed) to involve myself beyond the discussions and want(ed) to be part of action/solution.Being a common guy , I have my own challenges,circumstances and limitations that always restricted me not to change the flow of life because one need to consider many practicalities in life before doing so(might sound silly but real ).
Everyday, the life is passing like a dream(sometimes nightmare) and I am loosing one more day of my life*,so I am planning to start living my dream as soon as possible. Although I am not highly skilled and extra-ordinary but have conviction that whatever I have (l)earned over the years should be sufficient enough to help those who need it. Having said that ,I want to submit myself into a process called social service.
Future Plan : I am planning to do something like :
1. Buying a land in some village and opening a school to serve the kids in morning and villagers in evening.
2. Buying a land in some village and opening a hospital and let villagers be healthy.
3. Starting an NGO that promotes the healthy living among the people by - holding workshops,seminors about the nutrition and health.
- creating a non-govt database of citizens' health profile and linking them to doctors network.
- guiding the housewives about the healthy cooking and nutritional values of daily food intake.
Can we ? As I am pretty ordinary guy and maybe bit unrealistic about my individual capability, so I am looking for some like minded people-with whom the process of serving society becomes 'example of excellance'.I believe in 1 and 1 can become 11 not 2 so is the reason.
How can we ? I think money is not something that is imperative( of course money have it's role ) . In my opinion basic need is :
- Time of genuinely interested people
- Skill of the genuinely interested people
- People who believe and share the same dream(kind of difficult but not impossible at all)
I understand that everybody can not jump into the social cause as people are engaged in own life too but out of 365 days if 1 day is something one person can give for genuine social cause then we can benefit many other who need it most and handle a lot of challenges with our simple co-ordination only.Many times even one day is not need but just few hours are enough. As we are living in world of cyber connectivity so physical presence may not be compulsory in many cases.For eg.
- An IT expert can take 1 hour session of IT technology via skype.
- A teacher can take 1 hour session on any subject like maths,english...via skype.
- An agriculture expert can talk about the crops over skype.
- A nutritionist can present his presentation about the nutrition via pre-recorded media.
- A doctor can prescribe general medicine over phone/internet just by looking at the record of patient.
